Pillars of MJG Consultants ERC Process that make us the best
- Transparency – we believe in full disclosure and transparency in every step we take in the process. From qualifying your business to determine if you qualify for ERC, to delivering the final 941-X’s to the client, we share all our work with our clients and routinely will share all our work with a clients CPA or tax team to make sure they are on board before moving forward. We stand by our work and provide clients with copies of everything they would need in case they were audited.
- Accuracy – I realized early on that no matter how well I understood the ERC, the process would be greatly improved if I had multiple sets of eyes (double and triple) checking every step. That is our process in a nutshell today. We have a dedicated ERC CPA who prepares all calculations, which I then review with him for accuracy and to make sure the credit is maximized. We then have an external third party who reviews the 941-X’s and once all three of us approve we move forward.
- Efficiency – this is one of the main reasons clients are leaving the big ERC firms and coming to us. WE PROMISE TO HAVE ALL THE WORK DONE IN 2 WEEKS OR LESS ONCE WE HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTS WE NEED. If client approves, our CPA will be granted temporary access to the business’s payroll website, will download all documents needed, then you can revoke the access within an hour. If you have been sitting in limbo with another firm give us a call and we can determine if we can help you get to the finish line.
- We don’t win unless you Win – we will never charge a fee (and if any deposit was taken will return it) if we don’t get you a credit. The vision for my consulting firm is to put additional money on the table for business owners, if we cant do that then we don’t deserve to take anything off the table.
- Ownership – we own the work that we do, and my philosophy is to plan as if every client will be audited (although probably less than 1% will actually get audited). If every client were to be audited and we knew it in advance then we would make sure that all our notes and documentation is flawless, and fully explains how we determined eligible quarters, how we calculated the ERC amounts, and how we cross tested wages to avoid double dipping for PPP forgiveness wages and other credits already claimed.
- Rewarding those who help us grow – over 80% of our clients have been referred to us by our referral partners, who are CPA’s, payroll companies, bookkeeping companies, group benefits brokers, bankers, and other small business owners we helped claim ERC already.
